Holy Week and Easter are a time to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. Join First Presbyterian Church of River Forest for worship services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
Palm Sunday | Sunday, April 13 at 10:15 am

Marks the beginning of Holy Week, remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, with a service that includes a palm parade for all ages, children’s worship, and Holy Communion.
Maundy Thursday | Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 pm
In-person only
Commemorates the Last Supper including scripture reading, hymns, and Holy Communion. This service is in-person only.
Good Friday | Friday, April 18 at 7:00 pm

A day of solemn reflection and remembrance of Christ’s crucifixion. A Tenebrae worship service (Latin for “Service of Darkness”) with a dramatic retelling of the suffering and death of Jesus through scripture, hymns, choral music, and eventual darkness.

Come As You Are
Worship with us on Sunday mornings! A typical Sunday service includes vibrant singing and a Bible-based sermon. We celebrate Holy Communion on most Sundays. Our church is fully accessible and offers a T-coil hearing loop for those with hearing aids. When you visit, don’t feel obligated to give money during our offering.
