Easter Changes Everything

Holy Week and Easter are a time to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. Join First Presbyterian Church of River Forest for worship services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday | Sunday, April 13 at 10:15 am
In-person and livestreamed
Marks the beginning of Holy Week, remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, with a service that includes a palm parade for all ages, children’s worship, and Holy Communion.

Maundy Thursday | Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 pm
In-person only
Commemorates the Last Supper including scripture reading, hymns, and Holy Communion. This service is in-person only.

Good Friday | Friday, April 18 at 7:00 pm
In-person and livestreamed
A day of solemn reflection and remembrance of Christ’s crucifixion. A Tenebrae worship service (Latin for “Service of Darkness”) with a dramatic retelling of the suffering and death of Jesus through scripture, hymns, choral music, and eventual darkness.

Easter Sunday | Sunday, April 20 at 10:15 am

Celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a time of joy and hope for new life. With joyful worship, Holy Communion, children’s worship, and special Easter gifts for everyone.
